Naturally indulgent. Wisconsin sweet.
Craving a smooth, rich chocolate bar without the refined sugar? This easy homemade chocolate uses raw wildflower honey from Wisconsin Bee Company and a short list of clean ingredients to create a silky bar that’s perfect for guilt-free snacking. Whether you include the creamy milk powder or go dairy-free, this is one chocolate bar you can feel good about.

Ingredients:
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup coconut oil, melted
¼ cup cocoa butter, melted
Optional for creaminess:
3 Tbsp milk powder – OR
2 Tbsp finely ground cashew powder, oat milk powder, or coconut milk powder (for a milk-free alternative)
Instructions:
Melt your base. Gently melt the coconut oil and cocoa butter in a double boiler or over low heat.
Whisk in the honey. Remove from heat and stir in the honey until smooth and shiny.
Add dry ingredients. Sift in the cocoa powder and either the milk powder or dairy-free substitute. Stir well until glossy and lump-free.
Mold and chill. Pour into chocolate molds or a parchment-lined dish. Tap to release air bubbles.
Cool completely. Refrigerate or freeze for about 1 hour until firm.
Break & enjoy. Store bars in the fridge. Break off a piece anytime you need a local, honey-sweetened chocolate fix.
This honey-sweetened chocolate bar recipe stands out because it combines simplicity, flexibility, and local flavor. Sweetened only with raw wildflower honey from the Wisconsin Bee Company, it skips refined sugars without sacrificing sweetness or depth. The recipe is easily customizable—whether you enjoy the creamy richness of milk chocolate or prefer a dairy-free version made with plant-based alternatives like oat or cashew powder. With just a handful of clean, all-natural ingredients and no fancy equipment required, it’s a quick, guilt-free indulgence that also supports local beekeeping and sustainable food practices. It’s chocolate with a purpose—and a little Wisconsin pride in every bite.
